  • Duties and Responsibilities: Provide research design and statistical analysis collaboration and support to diverse research projects; participate in report and manuscript writing; serve as a biostatistician on grant proposals, providing experimental design and statistical analysis plans; provide statistics-related education and training; conduct statistical methodology research.
  • Minimum Qualifications: Ph.D. degree (or M.S. degree with seven (7) years of full-time experience) in Biostatistics or Statistics.

Biostatistical Analyst / Senior Biostatistical Analyst / Associate Biostatistician Positions

  • Duties and Responsibilities: Provide research design, statistical programming and analysis support, and report generation for multiple biomedical research projects; perform data management, data cleaning, and data coding; assist with manuscript preparation and report writing.
  • Minimum Qualifications: Master’s degree in Biostatistics or Statistics.

Graduate Research Assistant (GRA) Positions

Bioinformatics Core

  • Duties and Responsibilities: Develop new methods and analytic tools, analyze high-throughput, microarray, next- and third-generation sequencing “omics” data, assist with collaborative bioinformatics research and manuscript writing.
  • Minimum Qualifications: Current full-time student at University of Hawaiʻi in a graduate-level health, biology, or informatics degree program.

Biostatistics Core

  • Duties and Responsibilities: Provide biostatistical assistance including data cleaning, conducting statistical data analysis and programming, and preparing methods/results statistical sections of presentations and manuscripts.
  • Minimum Qualifications: Current full-time student at University of Hawaiʻi in a graduate-level quantitative degree program; undergraduate degree in computer sciences, statistics/biostatistics, mathematics, or quantitative field.
